Robert Loud
None of this information would be as accessible and organized as it is without the work of Robert Loud. Loud became interested in R.D. Donaldson and his work when he discovered that his house was, in fact, a Donaldson house. He asked Malcolm Donaldson about it and then discovered the scrapbook. He began to compile a wealth of information about Donaldson’s life and business. Loud gave multiple talks on Donaldson over the years, interviewed Donaldson family members, and became, “whether [he] wanted to or not,” per one of Donaldson’s grandsons, “the official archivist of [Donaldson’s] career.”
