About Us

The mission of the Lincoln Town Archives is to collect, preserve, and provide access to the history and culture of the town of Lincoln, Massachusetts. Collections include municipal records, manuscripts, books, photographs, audio-visual materials, and other ephemera documenting the history of Lincoln from 1746 to the present.

The Lincoln Town Archives is a unique partnership between the Lincoln Library and the Office of the Town Clerk, governed pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding between the two entities and endorsed by Town Meeting in 2008. The collaboration has enabled an integration of the town’s historic cultural, private and public documents into a single inventoried collection, housed at both Town Hall and the Library.
