Thirty-Five Years of Building, 1895–1930

In 1950, Malcolm Donaldson, R.D.’s second-oldest son, drove around Lincoln and the surrounding area with his father, “reviewing [his] building career.” Malcolm took a photograph of almost every house or building his father built or altered and compiled them into a scrapbook titled: “Thirty-Five Years of Building 1895–1930 by Robert D. Donaldson.” The photographs in the scrapbook “are labeled sometimes according to person for whom the house was built, and sometimes according to occupant of house in 1950.”
